In a small bowl, whisk together the oyster sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, and toasted sesame oil until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.

1 tsp toasted sesame oil (must be toasted, not regular)

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the angel hair pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.

While the pasta cooks, mince the garlic and slice the green onions. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Once foaming, add the garlic and most of the green onions (reserve some for garnish). Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant and soft — be careful not to brown the garlic.

3 whole green onions (sliced, from half a bunch)

Remove the skillet from heat. Add the drained pasta and prepared sauce. Toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated and glossy. If the pasta is stiff, sprinkle with a small amount of hot water to loosen. Garnish with the reserved green onions and serve.
